Last year at D23 2024, it was announced a new Marvel area would come to Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland. Tomorrowland already has an Ant Man & The Wasp attraction as well as an Iron Man ride and now the area will be complete with a new Avengers Drop Tower ride with accompanying shops and retail.
Concept art shows that this ride vehicle will be very similar to the existing Tower of Terror and Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout ride vehicles at other Disney parks around the world. This ride looks to feature Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Thor, Black Panther and other Avengers as well. It is not only who the villain of this ride will be, but it will likely be Thanos or some other major threat.
A new show was also announced for the park. This show will be a Monsters Inc. theatrical show. This is interesting because this may provide a clue to the type of show that will be in Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when that new land opens in a few years.
