Disney released a ton of news regarding upcoming projects at Walt Disney World today. First off at the Magic Kingdom the long awaited update to Carousel Of Progress is happening very soon.
Disney said the attraction will close at the end of the day July 5th and reopen sometime in 2027.
In addition to adding Walt Disney to the attraction, Disney will be updating every scene to new time periods across four new decades starting in the 1960’s. Next you’ll go through the 1980’s and then to the New Millennium and finally the possible future.

Next over at Hollywood Studios, Disney gave out some new details on what is coming to The Magic of Disney Animation building.
Inside the building there will be a collection of four experiences: Drawn To Wonderland, Off The Page, Olaf Draws and Once Upon A Studio Theater.

Drawn To Wonderland will be an immersive playground for the toddlers themed to Alice In Wonderland in a Mary Blair styling.
Off The Page will take you through the process of animation and include several meet and greets. Some of the characters you’ll be able to meet are: Mulan, Rapunzel, Chip n’ Dale, Donald and Daisy, Goofy, and Stitch.
In Olaf Draws and animatronic Olaf will help you make your very own animation with the help of a Disney animator.
In the Once Upon A Studio theater you’ll be able to watch Disney’s short film that debuted a few years ago, Once Upon A Studio.
These new changes come at a time when various new things have opened up around Walt Disney World including a revamped Big Thunder Mountain with a lowered height requirement, a revamped Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin with a new scene and animatronic as well as tons of other enhancements, and more new lands and experiences on the way across all four theme parks!
Stay tuned for more Walt Disney World updates as we approach D23 in August!
