Pirates of the Caribbean has been on Lightning Lane for several months now ever since The Haunted Mansion was getting its queue redone last year. Disney just announced that the attraction would be getting off of the service starting July 1st.
Many are surprised by this decision, because even though Disney stated from the get go that Lightning Lane on Pirates was temporary, many believed it would become permanent. It is rumored that Pirates will be getting a brand new indoor extended queue in the near future to free up congestion in New Orleans Square, so maybe when they do this they will build a permanent Lightning Lane queue for the attraction, but for now enjoy Pirates free flowing line without Lightning Lane!
