Universal Destinations and Experiences has announced a section location for Universal Horror Unleashed, this time in Chicago!
Universal will transform an 114,000 square foot building in Chicago into a horror mega center in The Windy City! According to Universal, the venue will be located on Chicago Avenue between the former Tribune Distribution Center situated between the River North and West Town districts.
Page Thompson says that, “Universal Horror Unleashed delivers on our promise to create highly immersive and terrifying horror experiences that connect with fans year-round.”
Construction is slated to begin in 2026 and open in 2027. This comes on the heels of several other projects happening in the company such as Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, Universal United Kingdom opening in 2031, the recently opened Epic Universe at Universal Orlando, Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas and lastly, a massive expansion happening at Universal Studios Hollywood.
