Another week, another Universal Studios Hollywood update! This week we see the smaller details start to appear at the Fast & Furious coaster, the NBA store is nearly ready to open, the Mummy Wall is nearly at the finish line and the security hubs are making progress. Also as of this writing Mega Movie Summer is officially over and soon we will start to see Halloween props all over the park in preparation for Halloween Horror Nights in a few weeks.
NBA STORE Nearly At The Finish Line!

On Saturday, I saw team members folding jerseys and stocking them on the shelves in preparation for opening. I certainly feel like they can soft open sometime tin the next couple of weeks.

The main entrance is now looking nearly complete after being all ripped up just last week.
Separately, Raising Canes is hard at work and the rumored new bathrooms got their new roof installed.

Hopefully this Raising Canes can open soon because I am very excited for it!
Security Hubs

Work continues on the security hubs and over at the East Hub some new scaffolding has appeared at the concrete wall.

Over at the Central Hub the stairs and ADA ramp are progressing and the dirt has been flattened in preparation for foundations and concrete work for the new building.
Fast & Furious
Work continues rapidly on the new coaster including installing queue elements.

They installed Paul Walker’s car and raised it up in the back of the queue. That is one of many cars that are in the queue building.

Wrapped in plastic there is that bomb ball from I believe Fast 5 when Vin Diesel’s character was driving around the city trying to take the bomb out of the city.

And now we come to the entrance marquee! Wow this looks stunning! I absolutely love this mural and it matches the LA style graffiti art theme of the movies which is fantastic.

Some people online are complaining about the sightlines of this mural from the Hogsmeade but I don’t find it to be much of a big deal because it’s as your exiting the land. Hollywood is a small park that’s is very limited in space which causes a ton of sightline issues and they do their very best, but you can’t be perfect.
Mummy Wall/Events Space
Over at the retaining wall, concrete work has been nearly finished!

Most of the heavy equipment is out and they are moving on this thing so they can get the queue space opened up for the Jason Universe house in just a few weeks.
We have now come to the end of this week’s update! How does the Fast & Furious coaster look to you? Are you ready for the NBA store to open? Are you excited for Horror Nights which starts in just a few weeks? Let us know all that in the comments below!
