Welcome to another Universal Studios Hollywood update! Lots of merch will be featured in this one as a few new stores opened up all on the same day last Friday! So let’s take a dive right in…
Security Check In
The East Hub has gone vertical already and there are signs that the Central Hub is about to to start rising very soon.

A new permit was filed to install and furnish fire alarms for the new building for the East Hub.

Here is the current status of the East Hub. A bunch of gravel has appeared, but other than that there is nothing we could spot.

Over at the Central Hub, the ground has been flattened and is getting prepped for vertical construction of a brand new building. We should start seeing foundations pretty soon here.
Citywalk Improvements
Over at the rest of citywalk, the new bathrooms are nearly done.

And Raising Canes is working hard on utilities and HVAC.

A new store called Universal Bazar is replacing the Cartooniversal space.

NBA Store Opens!
The NBA Store has opened and it looks fantastic!

I am a big Drake fan so I was excited to this collab between OVO (his company) and NBA. This sweatshirt costs $250 and I may get it when it gets a little cooler out.

Over at the Custom Labs you can design your own jersey and headwear.

Here are some other shots around the store. There is tons of merchandise from the NBA, WNBA, and G League. There is even an area called Center Court where you can chill out and watch some sports.

Citywalk Pop Opens
Citywalk Pop has opened in the former Popcornopolis location.

They offer three flavors to start including Cheddar, Butter and Kettle. They have a wide variety of popcorn buckets and sippers from different IPs of Universal as well as Nintendo.
Theme Park Updates
Now let’s head inside the theme park and check up on various projects.

The plaza is now closed and being transformed for Halloween Horror Nights. It looks like there won’t be a Dia Da Las Muertos set up this year or if it is it will be significantly enhanced because there is a large crane setting up a stage in the space currently.

The Monstrous 3 walls are down and the facade is beautiful just like the previous two houses.

Over at the Fast and Furious coaster, the mural continues to look great and more palm trees have been installed.

The Mummy wall is complete and the area has been paved and will likely be used as queue for the Jason Universe and Wyatt Sicks houses. After Horror Nights is over we can expect to see phase 2 take shape and have the new permanent structure start to spring up in this area.

The character shop on the Lower Lot closed briefly and reopened with three new sections themed to Nintendo, Hello Kitty and Minions.
Wrap Up
Woo wee that was a very big photo heavy update. Now it’s your turn to comment and give feedback on what you think of all these new stores opening up! Thank you for reading all the way to the end and we will be back next week for another update!
